KERRY ULTRASONIC BATHS FOR WORKSHOP AND LAB CLEANING

Powerful ultrasonic cleaning for cavities, tubes, threads and bores

UK manufactured Kerry ultrasonic baths for workshop and lab cleaning
Leading industrial finishing equipment manufacturer Guyson International now offers
a broad range of high quality Kerry branded bench-top ultrasonic cleaning baths, all manufactured at its extensive 10,000 square metre UK facility in Skipton in the North of England.

Component cleaning in workshops and laboratories
Typically these ultrasonic baths are used for providing effective precision cleaning on a wide variety of components in optical, mechanical, electronic, jewellery, horological, medical and dental workshops.
Kerry ultrasonic baths can also thoroughly clean laboratory glassware and syringes, as well as those specimens requiring cleaning prior to microscopic examination. They will also remove residue from the sampling components of analytical equipment.

How ultrasonics clean
Ultrasonic cleaning is brought about by the introduction of high-frequency sound waves (usually between
20-80 kHz) into a liquid by transducers attached to the bottom of the tank. The resulting action is called ‘cavitation’. Cavitation is created by high and low pressure areas produced in the solution as the sound waves pass through it. In low-pressure areas, microscopic ‘bubbles’ form. The pressure rises rapidly as the next sound wave passes through the solution, violently imploding the millions of tiny bubbles and creating a highly effective ‘scrubbing’ action on any immersed component surface. At the standard 38 kHz, this is happening 38,000 times per second.

Cavities, tubes and crevices
The entire range of Kerry ultrasonic baths deliver deep down cleaning; providing powerful ultrasonic cleaning activity inside holes, cavities, tubes, cylinders, threads and bores. All those difficult to clean and impossible to access areas, deep inside components, can now be thoroughly cleaned. Once the part is immersed and the wash solution has flooded hidden chambers and crevices then the ultrasonic activity delivers quality cleaning, lifting off all that dirt and grime, grease, fluxes and oils.

MKC baths
Kerry MKC ultrasonic baths are available in capacities of six, fourteen and twenty-two litres to suit different workloads, and can be supplied with a Pyrex beaker and beaker holder, allowing it to be used with all solvents. The beaker containing solvent is suspended in the bath, which should be filled with water and a small amount of wetting agent.

Operating temperatures from 20 to 80 degrees Centigrade can be set in one-degree increments, allowing the optimum temperature to be selected for a particular combination of component material, cleaning solution and contaminant.

Kerry Pulsatron MKC ultrasonic baths are able to be programmed to maximise the quality and repeatability of results, allowing the user to pre-set exact cleaning times and temperatures, ensuring consistent levels of cleanliness from batch to batch.

All functions are controlled by a simple four-button membrane keypad. An LCD panel displays the temperature and time set by the user, the time elapsed since the start of the cleaning process, and the status of the power supply, heater and ultrasonics.

KC baths
Guyson also offer smaller KC baths, with two and three litre capacity. Kerry Pulsatron KC baths are particularly easy to use, with a simple on/off switch for the ultrasonics and operating instructions printed on the bath's front panel. Cleaning of lightly soiled items may take only seconds, whilst removal of medium soil may take several minutes.

Free cleaning trials
Guyson offers a free component cleaning trial service with no obligation to buy, so if you think you could benefit from using Guyson cleaning equipment and would like to prove the cleaning process on your own components, please call Guyson International on +44 (0)1756 799911, fax +44 (0)1756 790213, or email info@guyson.co.uk.
