Ultrasonic Cleaning for
METAL FINISHING

This brief guide for metal finishers covers both aqueous and solvent systems for cleaning and degreasing. KS, UCR and CRD systems are normally recommended for low volume cleaning, while Microclean and Microsolve systems are suitable for high throughput and may be automated. RT transducers can be supplied with tank or retro-fitted to an existing process.

For help or advice on your particular ultrasonic cleaning requirement, please call us on +44 (0)1756 799911 or email info@guyson.co.uk, quoting Metal Finishing Webpage and including your company name, address and telephone number.

METAL FINISHING IN ACTION

A Microclean 5-stage system removes polishing compound from silverware

A Microclean 5-stage system removes polishing compound from sterling silver and silver plated cutlery and silverware at Carrs of Sheffield.
Submersible transducer cleans brass fittings in just 20 minutes
A Pulsatron RT 2000-25 transducer at Modern Metal Finishes removes polishing compounds from brass bathroom fittings before they undergoing gold-plating.

A Microsolve co-solvent system at Twickenham Plating cleans electronics, engineering and aerospace components prior to surface treatment. The Microsolve, which uses as little as 3 litres of HFE per week, has replaced a trike (trichloroethylene, or TCE) process.

Mono-solvent systems clean steel valve components at TRW
TRW Aeronautical Systems has five mono-solvent ultrasonic cleaning systems, finishing steel valve components used in the fuel and hydraulic systems of jet engines.
