Blast Cleaning

Our extensive range of manual blast machines provides you with a perfect solution for cleaning delicate mould surfaces without dimensional change.

Perfect for the speedy removal of operational debris or moulding marks, surface deposits and flash.

Additionally, they are perfect for the surface preparation of moulds and texturising the mould surface - which allows air to get under the substrate to facilitate easier removal of the product. A Soda blast option, using a high efficiency (HE) cyclone is also available.

Guyson automated blast systems have previously been specified for cleaning multiple segments of tyre moulds.

Some of the benefits offered by our blast cleaning methods:

  • Faster and safer than chemical cleaning
  • Very time efficient compared to labour intensive manual cleaning methods
  • Speedily removes material deposits and release agents
  • Cleans without dimensional change
  • Extends the life of your mould tools
  • Does not damage plated surfaces
  • Enhances the quality of your product
  • Choices of non-abrasive media

Mould CleaningUltrasonic Cleaning

Ultrasonics offer a rapid and highly effective method of precision cleaning for injection moulds and as a non-contact method of cleaning it minimises any potential for damaging critical mould detail. Due to its penetrating nature, ultrasonic cleaning removes residues from deep down inside the internal cooling ports, vents and channels, thereby improving polymer flows.

Also perfect for cleaning extrusion dies, used for items such as PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories, plastic safety barriers and industrial O-rings, can be cleaned of residue build-up. This helps maintain a cleaner profile for more accurate extrusions and thus prolongs the die's working life.

Ultrasonic baths, tanks and submersible transducer options are available in a wide variety of standard sizes.

A popular die cleaning choice is the Guyson UCR aqueous Ultrasonic Clean and Rinse system, which provides a heated ultrasonic cleaning tank, an immersion rinse weiring to drain and a hand held spray for final rinse. Options include lid, basket, raising stand, level sensor, pumped filtration, heating to the immersion rinse and deionised water spray rinse.

Automated aqueous (Microclean) and solvent (Microsolve) ultrasonic cleaning systems are available for higher volumes and offer an even higher quality of cleaning specifications.

Some of the benefits offered by our ultrasonic cleaning methods:

  • Very time-efficient compared to labour-intensive manual cleaning methods
  • Speedily removes material deposits and release agents
  • Cleans without dimensional change
  • Extends the life of your dies
  • Clean profile for accurate extrusions
  • Can often clean mould assemblies without the need to disassemble
  • Does not damage plated surfaces
