A position has become available at Guyson International Ltd for a:

Apprentice/Junior Customer Service Engineer

REPORTS TO: Customer Service Manager

To promote, advise on and sell Guyson equipment, spare parts, and services to customers and distributors around the world, and administrate and manage those sales from initial contact to delivery and beyond.

Within Department: Customer Service Manager, Service Co-Ordinator.

Outside department: Finance, Stores, Purchasing, Production Control, Production, Engineering, Technical, Field Sales, Field Service & Marketing.


  • Be the first point of contact for Guyson customers.
  • Manage customer relationships through the use of the Guyson CRM and ERP systems.
  • Discuss, provide advice, and up-sell to customers on the features/uses/maintenance/operation of Guyson equipment, spares parts and services.
  • Generate and follow up leads, issue quotations and liaise with new and existing Guyson customers.
  • Manage customer orders through receipt, acknowledgement, processing, invoicing and follow up.
  • Assist customers in resolving queries, liaising with our Service team where needed, including managing the return of goods, credit and reimbursement where required.
  • Application engineering. Working with our customers and our Demonstration and Engineering teams to develop processes and applications for customers.
  • Maintain required company records and data in conjunction with our accounts for auditing as well as our obligations under ISO.

  • NCR (Non-Conformity) resolution (number of open queries, time to resolve etc.)

Job Vacancy

A position has become available at Guyson International Ltd for a:

Electrical Design Engineer


Define and develop electrical design solutions across the following Guyson product range:

  • Shot blasting systems.
  • Spray wash systems.
  • Ultrasonic wash systems.


  • Electrical design input of machine builds as required.
  • Produce electrical schematic drawings within SolidWorks Electrical 2D
  • Compile and structure BOM within the company ERP system.
  • Ensure System design & drawings inspection prior to release.
  • Provide feedback and rectify engineering drawings & Bill of Material errors.
  • Adhere to customer URS (User Requirement Specifications).
  • Attend production and design meetings as required.
  • Any task that is within your skillset and capabilities throughout the Company.


Essential Skills

  • Experience in using an electrical design software package, ideally SolidWorks electrical 2D, (or demonstrate the ability to learn Solidworks Electrical).
  • Should have worked within a manufacturing environment and have strong controls and system integration knowledge.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC control systems in terms of electrical design requirements.
  • Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or HND (/similar) with relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical design within a machine build environment.
  • Previous involvement in producing a multilevel bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Good communications skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to all levels from the shop floor through to senior management.
  • Work to all current Health & Safety, environmental, quality, industrial specific and company standards.

Advantageous Skills

  • PLC programming capabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13849 control system functional safety calculations and risks assessments. Previous experience in producing these would be highly desirable.

Candidates with management/leadership experience will be considered for more senior roles.

This is a permanent position, subject to a 3 month trial period.
