Mark Viner, Guyson International’s Blast & Wash divisions Managing Director says “Guyson are so pleased to be able to hand over this cheque for £6,000 after our latest efforts in support of our nominated charity Manorlands.

We initially set a target of raising £1,000 with a sponsored cycle ride planned to coincide with our 80th anniversary celebrations and Open Day on 20th May. 17 cyclists volunteered to make the 30 mile journey which traced our heritage from its origins in Leeds city centre all the way through Kirkstall, Guiseley, Otley, Weston and finally Skipton, where Guyson has been located on the Snaygill Industrial Estate since 1975.

As the day arrived it was clear we would smash the target as some of the cycling team had already raised considerable sponsorship. In the end the cycling raised just over £2,000, which was amazing in itself. The rest was made up from donations and collections during the Open Day and the sale of Guyson T-Shirts. The final raised was £ 2,940. When we started the fund raising event James Thomson, owner of Guyson international, had already generously agreed to match anything we raised, topping the total raised to the £6,000.”
